ARIZONA/THE IMPORTANCE OF THE CHRISTIAN VOTE!
We just finished recording “Arizona Bleeds” at 2 am last night. What more can I say? The song pretty much says it all. As Howard Beale screamed out in the movie Network, “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it any more!” Many Americans are now screaming these words.As a missionary for many years I wrote songs about the Lord and His service and those songs that would reach out to touch others with the message of the Gospel. These songs will always be the most moving of all because they deal with the eternal and our wonderful Savior Jesus Christ. This life we now live will soon be over and as the scripture says, “What is your life? It is but a vapor that appeareth for a little while and then vanisheth away.” After 24 years overseas on the mission field I came home to find a different America. As a writer I can only write those things I see and feel. As Kind David wrote, "My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.(Ps 45:1) There is a war we are all faced with. The Bible says that we “wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” What could better describe the Obama administration and their aims for this country. Obama said that we would know him by those that surround him. Have you taken a good look? You might want to check out "Radical Rulers" published by Coral Ridge Ministries. God help us to wake up, rise up and fight! If every single person who calls on the name of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior would just stand up and be counted!. Our Founding Fathers and Mothers and all those who first came to America had to step out by faith and take a rickety old wooden ship with what little they could carry to an uninhabited land. With what few implements they could bring they had to carve out a place in the wilderness to live when they got there. Many died of cold and starvation but those that survived started the greatest nation this world has ever seen. They were Christians, real Bible believing, God fearing, Christians that took God at his Word and they stepped out by faith and conquered this wild land. What has happened to Christians today that they have so little conviction, so little faith, so little care, that they cannot even get up off of their lazy butts to go out and vote? You can't make any excuses! There just aren't any! I'm sure that God has heard them all but is He going to give you a pass? No, he's going to give you an Obama and He just did! You got him because you deserved him! I heard a saying once, "A wicked people deserve a wicked King." I don't think it's actually in the Bible but it sure is Biblical. This started out to be about ARIZONA but it's not just about Arizona. This is just the beginning of the fight that is before us! Are you willing to stand up and fight? Are you willing to be a fighter for Jesus |
