“Dynamic Father and Son Duo: Rockin’-Fun-Filled-Family Entertainment”
That is a spot on description of this album. A lot of times here at 1340mag we review intellectual or challenging albums, however anyone that knows us is certainly aware that we have a soft spot for good clean kids/family entertainment. Mike and Sam Fischer provide us with just that. “He’s my Daddy, He’s my Son” is a country tinged oldies rock album filled to the brim with original songs led by the father and son duo. What is perhaps the most surprising is the quality of the music. This kids/family album is top notch as far as production and songwriting is concerned, a point too often ignored in this genre. Another notable aspect of this album is it’s strong Christian family values. While most of the songs are really on the “cute” aspect of family entertainment, there are some songs (such as “Can’t Keep a Good Man Down”, “Big Bang Theory,” and “Did Charley (CHARLES DARWIN) Make a Monkey Out of You?”) that take a strong faith based stand. This may bother those inclined to other beliefs but there is a plethora of other songs to choose from that are more universally appealing. The centerpiece of this album though is young Sam Fischer. I believe this young man is bound for a Broadway show. Sam is a lot of fun on this album, and his trade-off vocals with Mike have a very genuine feel to them, it’s awesome to hear something so positive. Realistically this album is certainly not for everyone. That said, if you are concerned with finding quality music that you can enjoy WITH your young children then you should check this out because I think you’ll love it!
The Fischers at The Sutler! Mike and Sam… father and son. It’s an act that has drawn attention from some major players in the Nashville scene. Not long ago, I was able to catch the duo at The Sutler when they performed a full set before a packed house. Enthusiasm and strong performances from both made the evening pleasurable. Sam is an eight year old with the stage presence of someone much older and more seasoned. Mike, having been involved in the music industry for years, has helped nurture his son’s talents and combined their abilities into a father-son act that has the potential for success when the right doors open for them. They demonstrated an ability to hold an audience’s attention for the entire set, something many artists and writers in Nashville sometimes have trouble doing. In the time I’ve known the Fischers, I’ve noticed they’ve developed a following among the songwriting community around town. While some would say it’s the novelty aspect of the act, I would disagree. I think talent – and the potential for growth within that talent in Sam’s case as he gets older – is recognizable in the pair and that is what has captured the attention of those who’ve seen the Fischers perform.

“Sam is only 8 years old and already has wonderful stage presence and vocal ability. Mike, his father, writes the songs and sings and plays guitar for the duo. With universal appeal they are very real and down to earth and many of their songs have upbeat, positive Christian messages dealing with love, kindness and hope. Mike's baritone growl blends perfectly with Sam's high voice and their pitch and timing is uniquely suited to the songs Mike is writing. I just finished producing their CD entitled “He’s My Daddy-He’s My Son” and I'm amazed at the speed and professional abilities they both have. I think their "live" act is going to translate to some great records and it's exciting to me that I'm part of their journey. They rock!!!!”

in Nashville I saw Sammy Fischer performing with his Dad at one of the
venues before I played. He is truly an amazing show kid waiting to
happen! He is REALLY someone that should be working in Branson, I can
see him doing the lead and really blowing away the audience in a
Branson show. I am POSITIVE about it. He has great vocals, amazing
stage presence and a comfort on stage that I have only seen like this
from Broadway or Disney kids. He's got it! Candy Coburn Candy Coburn Band Candy Productions LLC Springfield, MO 417-827-5187 www.candycoburn.comMike and Sam Fischer were awesome! They have a great presence together and they really get the crowd excited! It's just a joy to see, especially, a child who is not afraid to get up and sing... not afraid to share from his heart... and give back the gifts that he has been so blessed with. It was an incredible program and I'm so glad I was able to be here to see it! Brian Best www.bbangelo.com stages@nashville.com

Armando Dominguez http://www.adominguezhomes.com ardiahomes@yahoo.com "The Fischers" came to our 50+ meeting and they were great! They have a talented young performer in Sammy. Our senior adults found it not only entertaining but encouraging to see a child that young exhibiting such pose and doing such a fine job with his singing.
